HOCKEY REFEREES
ANNUAL MEETING HELD The 26th annual meeting of the Auckland Referees’ Association was held last evening under the presidency of Mr. B. Cooper. The secretary’s report stated that the association had curried on its duties and had been able to fulfil all local obligations. Membership stood at 32, of which five were women. Luring the year eight new members were enrolled, three being women. The net result was a decrease of three. No fewer than 500 matches, exclusive of special tournaments, were supervised. The report was adopted. The following officers were elected: Patron, Mr. L. H. Norton: president, Mr. F. Nicholson; vice-president, Mr. K. K. Mullins; hon. secretary and treasurer. Mr. A. B. Burton; hon. auditor. Mr. H. Rankin; delegate to the A.H.A.. Mr. F. Nicholson; delegate to the N.Z.H.R.A.. Mr. P. Atkinson; emergency committee. Messrs. A. M. Burton. C. Preston, F. Nicholson; appointments committee. Messrs. R. Avery, H. Rankin and C. Preston.
