Coals Active CONSIDERABLE business is being recorded and prices remain firm. Dalgety are freely asked for while coal j shares are eagerly sought after by investors.
A steady demand continues for bank Shares. Australasia are quietly firming. Commercial of Australia are changing - hands at 295. and New Zealand, both issues, are keenly asked for. Very few shares offering. L'nion of Australia remain steady. * * * Insurance remain exceptionally firm, Occasional sales being recorded. In the loan and agency, Abraham and Williams are asked for at S7s 6d, but fail to attract a seller. Newton King (pref.) have steady buyers at 8s 6d. River Plate are steady, buyers quoting 335, sellers 34s 9d. Guarantee Corporation have many buyers at 8s 10s, Shares unoffered. * * * liittle business has been reported in
breweries, though the market remains lirm in this section. * « tp All Government and local body securities are keenly watched by investors, few sellers appearing.
