FIFTY YEARS MARRIED
MR. AND MRS. G. R. DAVIE
Mr. and Mrs. G. R. Davie, of ‘Williamson Avenue, Grey Lynn, completed fifty years of married life to* day. Mr. Davie cam to to New Zealand when he was 19, from Hobart, Ta*' mania. His wife, then Miss Newmanarrived in New Zealand in 1875 wild her parents from Kent. They wer married in 1879 at St. Paul's CathedralDunedin, by th© late Ven. Archdeacon Edwards. Of the five bridesmaids a* th© wedding all are living and in health, and two of them will be ent at the golden wedding breakfast be held this evening. th Mr. and Mrs. Davie lived in Souin Australia for two and a-half ‘ after their marriage, and then retur to Wellington.
