ST. JAMES

GEORGE WALLACE REVUE How a number of people in a state of boredom decided to pro “slumming” is the theme of the George Wallace Revue Company at the St. James Theatre. “Some Night” occupies the greater portion of the programme. An old Chinese lamp, something akin to Aladdin’s lamp, is produced, and the bored ones are changed into underworld people. Their experiences during their travels in the underworld form the material for George Wallace’s versatile wit. He appears himself as the ne’er-do-well son of a noble house, and is at his best in a quick succession of comic songs. The outstanding sketches ai'e “The Naggers.” a domestic tragedy: “Hinkler Out-Hinklered.” dealing with wireless: and “Pay Me Back That Two Bob.”
