TIVOLI AND EVERYBODY’S
LAST DAYS OF “MAN WHO LAUGHS” “The Man ‘Who Laughs/' the big picture based on the famous Victor Hugo story of the same name, will be shown at both the Tivoli and Everybody’s Theatres for the last time tomorrow evening. Conrad Veidt has the leading role—that of Gvmplaine, the laughing clown. Mary Philbin is seen as Lea, the blind i girl, and Olga Baclanova is Duchess ‘ Josianna. At the Tivoli Theatre on Thursday a ■ new programme will be screened, headed by the latest Milton Sills picture, “The Crash/’ in which the wellknown actor has the role of the boss of a railway wrecking crew. “Phyllis of the Pollies/’ a happy comedy-drama starring Alice Lay and Matt Moore, will also be shown. The new programme at the Everybody’s Theatre on Thursday will in- ; elude “The Wife's Relations,” an amus- ; ing and interesting story of a rich girl , who ran away from an unhappy mar- 1 riage and tried to make a living by i shorthand writing. Shirley Mason has ■ the leading role.
