That traders themselves are largely ; to blame for their losses through giv- | ing credit too easily, was the view advanced by Mr. Wyve.rn Wilson, S.M., in ; the Hamilton Magistrate's Court to- ! day, when Wyllie Leonard Kerr ■ Floyd, aged 17, pleaded guilty to obtaining goods valued at £5 11s 6d by false pretences. Xccus«ed had signed an order with the name of a former employer. Floyd also admitted stealing £3 15s from Harry Borcliard in a Hamilton boa.rding house. Senior-Sergeant Sweeney stated that accused was unreliable and untruthful. He had been convicted of theft at Te Puke recently. A sentence of two years* detention in a Borstal institute was imposed.
