SHOT KILLS CONSTABLE
GUNPLAY AT ADELAIDE MAN CHARGED WITH MURDER (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) Reed. 11 a.m. ADELAIDE, To-day. Constable Holman, aged 23, was shot in the stomach and died later in hospital. With another constable, he questioned two men, when suddenly one man drew a revolver and shot Holman and then ran "away. The second constable shot the retreating man in the leg. Two more policemen appeared, and several more shots were fired. Later, James McGrath, aged 23, was charged with murder.
