TIME EXTENDED

WAITEMATA RATING POLL MINISTER ALLOWS FOUR DAYS As a result of a decision of the Hon. P. A. de la Perrelle, Minister of Internal Affairs, the Waltemata County Council has four more days in which to hold its poll of ratepayers. The poll, which is to decide whether or not the basis of rating shall be changed from capital to unimproved value, cannot be held later than Wednesday, March G. On Friday a deputation of councillors and ratepayers asked the Minister for a week's time extension. The Minister replied by telegram as follows: “With regard to the request made that I extend the time for the taking of the poll for one week, I have been in communication with the Crown Law Office. Reviewing all the circumstances, I propose to recommend to his Excellency the Governor-General to extend the time for the taking of the poll until Wednesday, March 6.”
