JUDGING COMMENCES Press Association WANGANUI, To-day. The New Zealand band contest commenced this morning under favourable conditions. The last band, Port Nicholson, arrived this morning. Proceedings commenced with E fiat bass. Results:—F. Lloyd, Wellington Trams, 35; W. Miller, Wanganui Garrison, 94; A. Homer, St. Hilda, and E. Prout, Westport, 93 each. Also competed:—G. Crabtree. Wellington City Silver, 81; A. C. Ogdon, Hawera, 70; E. Birch, Queen Alexandra, 82; V. Abrahams, Timaru. 86; J. Avery, Timaru, S 9; H. Unwin, Hastings, 65; A. Nelson, St. Kilda. 84; A. Homer, St. Kilda, 93; T. Sedgeman, Waihi, 75; G. Trott, Palmerston. 65; R. W. Shackleton, Palmerston, 85; L. Burley, Kaikorai, 80; C. Pollock, Woolston, 92: S. Dougall, Woolston, 80; E. Prout, Westport, 33, and Charles Jams. Otago, 88. There are approximately 30 in the quartets. These finish late this
