GAOL TERM INCREASED By forging cheques George Thomas Nelson obtained £4 10s in cash and a diamond ring worth £35 at Hamilton. He was sentenced on three charges of false pretences in the Supreme Court this morning by Mr. Justice Kennedy to one year’s hard labour to be served cumulatively on a term of two years now being served for false pretences last January. "Your record is a bad one,” said his Honour, in passing sentence.
