Beige and Brown Make Their Bow at To-day’s Trots
Dainty Summer Modes ATTRACTIVE COLOURING The frocking at Alexandra Park today at the opening of the Otahuhu Trotting Club's summer meeting was particularly light and attractive in colouring and material, with just here and there a hint of the beige and brown shades that will become so popular when autumn leaves start falling. Ensembles in crepe silks, georgettes and laces held pride of place, and hats were mostly of the wide-brimmed, shady kind, with occasional close-fit-ting shapes of felt or straw to relieve any suggestion of a uniform millinery mode.
