WHO WILL LEAD LABOUR)

MR. RAMSAY MACDONALD UNWELL PARTY’S CHANCES DIMMED fAustralian and N.Z. Press Associationl LONDON, Tuesday. The problem of the leadership of the British Labour Party is referred to by the “Daily Express.” It says it is dimming the bright sunlight of the recent successes at by-elections. Mr. Ramsay MacDonald, says the paper, is showing signs of serious overwork, and his health is impaired. It is doubtful if he will be able 1:o continue to lead the party. Mr. J. H. Thomas would be likely to be opposed by formidable opposition. Mr. Arthur Henderson and Mr. J. R. Clynes have more enemies than friends. Mr. Philip Snowden is respected but feared. Unless Mr. MacDonald is restored to health the party is likely to face the enemy with all the equipment of war but without a general.
