I SPICED SCONES T 'NGUEDIENTS: Saif a pound 1 of flour, a teaspoonful of cream rQ **■ of tartar, half a teaspoonful of ri] bicarbonate of soda, a good pinch p] of salt, one dessertspoonful of «] granulated sugar, two ounces of butter or lard, a good pinch each “] of spice, cinnamon and ginger, bl milk to mix , two ounces of cur- In rants. Mix the flour , cream of Dj tartar, soda and salt, and sift K them well together. Huh in the K butter, stir in the sugar, spices K and currants. Then mix to a soft |}] dough with either sour or fresh 3 milk. Turn on to a floured board pi and form into two rounds.
