PRINCE EDWARD
1 “TEMPEST” A drama with Imperial Russia and later the Russia of revolutionary times - as a striking background is “Tempest,” • John Barrymore’s latest production, - which is now at the Prince Edward • Theatre. The picture abounds in action and humour, from the
humour, from the opening of the story, when Barrymore is seen as a peasant officer plunged into the gay life of pre-war Russia, to the final scenes, when he rescues a princess, his lover, from the revolutionaries, and escapes with her to a new life of happiness. For those
who like romance, the love scenes played by Barrymore his leading lady, the beautiful Camilla Horn, will i make a vast appeal. Barrymore never : had a more powerful role. Among the 3 other players are Louis Wolheim, - George Fawcett, Ullrich Haupt and - Boris de Fas. 1 “Dry Martini,” the second feature, is > a delightful comedy of a thirsty Ameri--5 can in Paris, starring Mary Astor and . Albert Gran.
