SOUTHERN ELECTRIFICATION JOB SOON COMPLETED British Official Wireless RUGBY, Monday. The Southern Railway Company’s suburban electrification scheme, on the central section of its railway, will be completed by March 3, four years after its adoption. The new electric services will then come into operation. The services previously worked by means of overhead ■wires will be operated on the rail, or direct current system. They have been remodelled and increased in some cases to as much as 200 per cent. . over the previous steam services.

.A new signalling system has also been installed, the stations have been rebuilt and the platforms have been remodelled.
