ORATORIO, “ST. PAUL”

TOWN HALL NEXT TUESDAY The grand oratorio “St. Paul” will be given by the combined Methodist Choirs in the Auckland Town Hall on Tuesday next under the conductorship of Mr. J. Mauglian Barnett. The solo parts will be taken by Miss Alma McGruer, Miss Laura Stone, Mr. Birrell O’Malley, Mr. P. E. Sutherland and Kev. Arthur Mitchell. Miss E. Whitelaw, L.R.A.M., will be the leader of the orchestra, and Mr. Edgar Randall the organist. The booking arrangements are being handled by Strong’s Booking Office, Queen Street. Gwen Lee has been added to the cast of M-G-M’s “The Duke Steps Out.” The star is William Haines, with Joan Crawford, Karl Dane, Tenen Holtz and Eddie Nugent also in the cast.
