PERSONAL. —Mr. J. M. Hood, lafe second officer of the Niagara, is at present on holidays at Wellington. Mr. J. D. Lundie is joining the Waikouaiti as chief officer for the passage to Sydney. Mr. W. A. Morris, second officer of the Karetu, has been invalided ashore at Sydney, and Mr. J. Joyes has been appointed temporarily to that vessel. Mr. L. B. Ehiert, junior third officer of the Niagara, is at present on 110**1.
at Sydney. Mr. J. A. Pearson, chief officer, is at present awaiting instructions at Sydney.
THE ANGLO-CHILEAN.—The Geo. 11. Scales Company’s chartered steamer Anglo-Chilean will leave Bluff to-day tor Dunedin to complete loading. She is to sail from Dunedin to-morrow for Dunkirk, London and Hull, via Panama. KUROW FOR NEWCASTLE. —The local office of the Union Company advises that the collier Kurow, which arrived at Auckland yesterday from Newcastle, returns to the coal port next Friday for a further cargo of cual. WAIPAHI FOR SUVA.—Due at Auckland to-morrow evening from Lyttelton and Wellington, the Union Company’s Island fruit steamer Waipahi sails the following day for Suva, where she will load fruit for this, port. CARGO F ROM SOUTH AFRICA.—L. D. Nathan and Company have been advised that the Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Itaranga was to leave Port Natal on February 13 with cargo for Auckland. She is expected to arrive at this port about March 22. MATAROA LEAVES BALBOA.—Cabled news has been received by the Shaw Savill and Albion Company that their liner Mataroa left Balboa on February 15 for Auckland and Wellington, en route from London and Southampton. She. is due at Auckland on March 6. RANGITIKI LEAVES HOME.—Cabled advice has been received by the New Zealand Shipping Company that their new motor-ship Rangitiki, from London, left Southampton on Sunday for Wellington, Lyttelton, Port Chalmers and Bluff. The vessel is due at Wellington oh March 23. PIPIRIKI TO LOAD.—The Geo. H. Scales Company reports that the Pipiriki left Poi't Pirie on Saturday morning for Port Kembla to replenish her bunkers. The vessel will next proceed to Lyttelton, where she is due on February 28 to commence loading for Dunkirk, London and Hull. AO RANG I NEARS SUVA.—Advice received by tlie local office of the Union Company states that the R.M.M.S.
