NO PROSECUTION

BANKRUPT’S DEALINGS MOTOR SERVICE PROBLEMS No creditor of lan Matheson Nairn, motor service proprietor, seconded a motion this morning that his affairs should be placed before the Crown Solicitor with a view to prosecution. Nairn had no assets, and he owed £1,121 14s 9d to unsecured creditors. This morning, he said that his receipts in six months’ trading were £ 922 7 s 4d, and his expenditure £1,962 2s lOd. Mr. H. George, representing a creditor, said, when he moved that the case should be referred for prosecution, that Nairn had kept no proper books arid had made representations that-had not been substantiated. Mr. V. R. Crowhourst, the deputyofficial assignee, said that Nairn’s statement was practically useless and, should he apply for discharge from bankruptcy in the near future, there would be strong opposition. Mr. Crowhurst thought that an offer should be made.

Nairn maintained that he had not lived beyond his income. He admitted that his monthly payments on cars had been £SB, and £36 a month went for .wages to the drivers.
