“THE VAGABOND KING”

CROWDED HOUSES Another packed house witnessed “The Vagabond King” again on Saturday evening at Uis Majesty’s Theatre. This magnificent musical romance is receiving well-deserved popularity, for it is the most beautifully staged and truthfully-sustained production which has been seen in Auckland. Miss Strella Wilson and Mr. James Liddy sing and act together brilliantly. Mr. Arthur Stigant makes merry in his popular manner. Mr. Cecil Keilaway, although in only a small part, plays it with distinction. Mr. Arthur Greenaway gives a splendid performance as the King of France. The musical score of “The Vagabond King” contains many beautiful melodies, and a score which cannot easily bo forgotten. The staging and the frocking are both the finest in conception and detail which have yet been seen in a J. C. Williamson production.
