EVERYBODY'S AND TIVOLI

“TAKING A CHANCE” “Taking a Chance,” now at the Tivoli j and Everybody’s Theatres, lias every | ingredient that the real, satisfying : Western picture should have. There I is high adventure, romance, comedy, fhrills, real flesh-and-blood battles, suspense, intrigue, drama, heart interest, shooting from the hip, mystery and, above all else, a moral lesson for young and old alike. Hex Bell, the very picture of wholesome youth, handsome and virile, is a boy with strong appeal if ever a western lad had it. He is a youth that rides like a whirlwind as if born in the saddle, who refuses to use a double, revelling in the most hazardous stunts that the story calls for. Women like him for his masculine charm and complete naturalness, coupled with his undoubted dramatic ability. Men admire him for his strength and fearlessness. Rex Bell established himself with “Wild West Romance.” under the banner of Fox Films. This boy lives the roles that he plays and improves in acting ability and popularity with each succeeding picture. “Taking a Chance” has one of the finest, best balanced casts that has ever graced any western picture. Lola Todd, beautiful and accomplished, is the feminine lead and right on down the long line of sunnorting players there is no discordant note. The second feature is “The White Sheik,” the story of the indiscretions of a wavward girl which causes strife among the Riff tribes and their white sheik leader. Lillian Plail-L>avies and Jameson Thomas are the stars in this film version of the Rosita Forbes novel, “King’s Mate.” DIXIELAND CABARET 1 Dixieland, the cabaret by the sea, will be open again this evening. Dancing will be enjoyed from 8.30 p.m. tc midnight to music by the famous Dixieland Dance Band, which will again play all the latest music. The ; British commander, played by Henry I Stuart, is in command of her, and is badly wounded when she sinks. .He is rescued by the enemy and taken to Keil, where ins old sweetheart, who has married a Oerman commander, nurses him back to health. | The impressive scenes of the l all - ot Jutland are the outstanding fea*1 ures of this well acted and attractively staged romance.
