A full yarding of rams came forward for the Te Kuiti ram fair, hel<£ on Friday, buyers being present from all parts of the King Country and outside districts. Bidding was very spirted. Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report: An outstanding feature was the exceptionally keen demand for Romneys. These came forward in large numbers and contained some exceptionally good rams from local and Southern breeders. Every ram was sold under the hammer. The top price obtained was 18£gns for two one-shear Romneys bred by W. Johnstone, Puketutu, and purchased bv W_ H Blurdell, Rangitoto. This breeder’s 32 rams averaged £l2 12s. Fifteen one-shear bied by Heneen Bros., Feilding, sold to A g^ S ’n aV€ra^i ng A line from LaUeson, Palmerston North, also sold at Southdowns were inclined below lOgnX’ bUt vendors would not sell
