A gas chamber constructed for training purposes is a defence against gas warfare, and its chief use is for the testing of helmets and the training of ° rder to P re vent a recurrence of what happened to the Canadians at T?™ 8 * , I '° Jurlse from the cable news of the last few months, America Germany France and Russia all claim to eales the f °^ mulae of hew and powerful gases. The proposed gas chamber larS ® enou Sh for the Foee of helmets of the local Defence Forces alone, apart from the civil population of Auckland, who would have to be fitted with gas helmets in f^ VaSi ° n by any nation. In case of the need arising the same erection Wh f > &re n ° W cri tieisinp the the first t a M gaS chamber would be the first to blame the same Defence number not baving a sufficient number of gas chambers to test and Tn defence ol6 °? Auckla nd’s population in defence against gas. GAS KNOWLEDGE.
