REQUEST FOR EXTRA PERMITS
MINISTER TO CONSIDER QUESTION (From Our Own Correspondent J HAMILTON, To-day. As a result of the application of the Waikato Trotting Club for two extra days’ racing, the Hon. P. A. de la Parelle to-day visited the Claudelands course. After inspecting the tracks and various appointments the Minister said he would keep the request in mind, and they would be considered when the next allocation was being made. ■The Hon. de la Parrelle added that many racing clubs pressed for finance
were in a similar position to the Waikato Club. He could not promise a reduction in taxation, but might consider other means of rendering assistance.
