FAIRY FROLICS
When Fairies wish to travel far. And do not want to fly. They jump on any falling leul That may be floating by. Then quickly through the soft, sweet They sail in merry train: Each leaf of russet-red and green Becomes a Fairy-plane! When Fairies want to go to bed They ask the Spider; ’Please. Oh. will you kindly, spin a web Between the forest ireee?” Then, snug in cosy blanketting Of thistle-downies warm. The Fairy People sleep all. day. Secure from any storm! When Fairies think they’ll giro a bah, To all the hives they go; And beg for honey from the Bees, To make their cakes you know. They ask the Birds if they will come And sing their sweetest song. Then, up and down, in rainbow drifts. They dance the whole night long!
