(From Our Own CorrespondentJ Mrs. E. R. Gresham has returned tc Hamilton after a holiday in Wellington. FUTURE BRIDE ENTERTAINED A gay party was given on Thursday evening by the members of the “Dandj Dozen” for Miss Doris Wheeler, one ol their number, who is to be married next week. The parish hall had been bedecked with rose pink, apple green and azure streamers—the colours of the Dandj Dozen, who all looked very smart ir their black pierrot and Pierrette costumes. They were: Miss Mary McKenzie, Miss Z. Mason, Miss Gladys Denz, Miss Daphne Gould, Mist Tracy Gould, Miss Bella Chapman Messrs. M. Somerville, Hutchinson, B Powell, C. Shakeshaft, T. Quill, L Pye and N. Ross. Mrs. Ross, the hostess of the party, was in a chic frock of royal blue lace. Miss Doris Wheeler wore an apple green satin and silver tissue frock. Mrs. Wheeler, sen., grandmother ol Miss Wheeler, was in black crepe dt chine. Mrs. G. Wheeler wore black and deep biscuit crepe de chine. Other ladies present were: Mrs Sliakeshaft, Mrs. Ken. Ford, M. Dowd, Broome, C. Buckland Watson, Madge Gould. The popular guest of honour receiver a splendid array of kitchen utensils for her future home. The evening sped by with dancing to music sup- \ plied by Miss McKenzie and Mr. L Carter, and with songs by the Dand> Dozen and hearty choruses. * * * BRIDGE PARTY On Friday evening Miss Ailsa AVilson invited some of her friends to a bridge party at her home in Ohaupo Road. She had decorated the bridge and drawing rooms delightfully with bowls of roses and blue hydrangea, Miss Nell Pittar and Miss Marjorie Gray, of Auckland, were the prizewinners. Mrs. F. T. Wilson was wearing a becoming frock of black lace and georgette; Miss Kath Wilson was in a pretty cream embroidered frock, and Miss Ailsa Wilson was in a charming flowered voile. The guests were: Miss Rosemary Waller (Auckland), Miss Anne Gillillan, Miss Nell Pittar, Miss M. Gray (Auckland), Miss Ngaire Jackson, Miss Nancy Taylor, Miss Cecille Chitty, Miss Val Watts, Miss Alice Wallis, Miss Elsie Simmons and Miss Betty Manning. GARDEN PARTY AT CAMBRIDGE On Wednesday afternoon, at her home, Brackenfield, Cambridge. Mrs. Neely gave a very delightful afternoon party. She entertained her guests in her shady garden. Some of her guests swam and some played tennis. Mrs. Neely received her guests in a frock of beige embossed georgette. Her daughter. Miss Gladys Neely, who helped her mother, was in a pretty primrose frock. Others present were: Mrs. Hall, Mrs. Armstrong, Mrs. Harold, Mrs. Rowland, Mrs. Richardson, Mrs. S. Lewis, Mrs. A.
