BAND AT ZOO TO-MORROW

A programme of much charm will be given by the Municipal Band in the Zoological Park on Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock. Among the numbers to be played are the selections, “The Mikado” and "Reminiscences of Schubert”; overture, "Tancredi”; cornet duet, "The Swiss Boy,” by Mes J. Davies and T. R. Morgan; petite suite, "Scenes in Maoriland”; piccolo solo. "Long. Long. Ago.” by Mr. ILal C. McLennan, and other bright items The band will also play in the Domain on the evening of the same date, when a brilliant - will include the "Pique Dame” overture, a splendid selection from Sullivan’s “The Rose of Persia,” intermezzo scene “In a. Per sian Market,” instrumental solos by Messrs. McLennan, Davies and Morgan, and many’ other tuneful numbers. “His Captive Woman,” with Dorothy Mackaill and Milton Sills, is adapted from the story by Donn By’rne entitled “Changeling,” and will be released in New Zealand shortly. Very powerfully dramatic, the rugged personality of Sills is ideally suited to the leading role.
