FIRE IN MINE BATTERY
(Special to THE SUN) THAMES, Friday An outbreak of nre, showing cations of incendiarism, occurred the Moanataiari Gold Mining Con, pany’s battery about 10 o’clock las* evening. Mr. L. Hill, of Taran, sn a bright glow suddenly break w* inside the building, and immediate called the lire brigade. The volunteers turned out promptly and found the flames licking at th* walls on the seaward side of tfc* building. A single lead of hose wat sufficient to put out the fire, and ver; little damage was done. It appeared that the fire had start*; outside the building, only a few from where last Saturday’s outbreak began.
