SPEED LIMITS RAISED

20 M.P.H. ON GRAFTON BRIDGE DOMAIN RATES CHANGED After consideration by several committees of the City Council, the speed limits on Grafton Bridge and in the Domain have been raised. After the amendment of the by-laws the speed limit on Grafton Bridge will be 20 miles an hour. On the Domain Drive the present limit of 15 miles an hour will be raised to 20, and between the main drive and Stanley Street it will be raised from 10 to 15. The engineers are preparing estimates for fencing off the footpaths cn the bridge. In reply to Cr. J. A. C. Allum, the city engineer, Mr. W. E. Bush, said he considered the bridge quite strong enough to withstand heavy traffic at 20 miles an hour.
