TEA TIME SHOWS UP (Special to THE SUNJ TE AROHA, To-day. A number of visiting horses are due to arrive to-day. This morning Love Call, Dainty Arch and Indolent ran five furlongs in 1.4, finishing in this order, with British King a poor fourth. Ruffles and Tea Time finished five lengths in front of Glenstar (who got away badly) over five in 1.3, Tea Time going, the easier at the finish. Tanetoa beat Orchus over five in 1.5, and Te Koroke accounted for Sir Russell over the same distance in 1.4 2-5. Ah Wera put in a fast run. Black Maire finished better than Crown Arch over five in 1.4. In the Shade, Ti Tree, Queen Arch and Red Lion executed useful pacing.

Although Bingen Starr has not shone brightly since being converted to the square-gaited business, the well-bred gelding was displaying solidity in his Christmas efforts. When going right the Ta mahere-trained trotter can show a lot of pace and his turn should not bo long delayed.
