HERMINIUS CLEARED BALBOA.— The Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Tlerminius is reported to have cleared Balboa last Monday in continuation of her voyage from Antwerp to Auckland. The vessel has a cargo of basic slag- for discharge at this port to the agency of A. S. Paterson and Co., Ltd. She is due early in March.

WAIOTAPU UNDOCKS.—The Union Company’s steamer Waiotapu undocks at 5 p.m. to-day and berths at the' Queen’s Wharf. She leaves Auckland on Saturday for Vancouver, where she is to load for New Zealand.

MATA KAN A AT LONDON —The Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Matakana, which left Wellington for London and West Coast ports of Great Britain on January is reported to have reached London last Tuesday. TOFUA RETURNING.—The local office of the Union Company advises that the Island passenger steamer Tofua leaves Suva at two o’clock this afternoon for Auckland, where she is due next Monday morning. SUNDAY EXCURSIONS. —The Northern Company advises that owing to the Rangitoto being chartered by The Sun for its picnic to Sowes Bay on Sunday, the Waipu and the Waiuku and other vessels will leave for Motuihi in place of the Rangitoto; HORORATA FOR AUCKLAND. The local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company has been advised that the steamer Hororata leaves Wellington at noon to-morrow for Auckland, where she is due on Sunday, to continue her discharge of London cargo. KUROW AND KAWATIRI. —Cable advice received by the local office of the Union Company states that the Kawatiri left Newcastle at 2 p.m. on Tuesday and the Kurow at 6.30 p.m. the same day for Auckland. Both vessels are due here on Monday next.

SYDNEY STEAMERS. The Marama and the Maunganui leave Auckland and Wellington respectively at three o'clock to-morrow afternoon for Sydney. The Ulimaroa sails from Sydney at noon tomorrow for Auckland. All the three vessels are due at their arrival ports next Tuesday morning.

WEST OF ENGLAND SAILINGS. — The local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company has been advised that the Norfolk, besides her four main will also discharge at Timaru; also that the Northumberland leaves Liverpool on June 8 for New Zealand and the Cornwall on June 22 for New Zealand. THE CITY OF NORWICH. —The EUer-man-BucKnall steamer City of Norwich cleared Curacao last Monday in continuation of her voyage from New York to Auckland, Wellington. Lyttelton, Dunedin and Portland (Victoria). The vessel is under charter to the A. and _A. Line, and the New Zealand Shipping Company is the local agent. She is scheduled to reach Auckland about March o. CANADIAN CONQUEROR IN PORT. —The Canadian National Line’s steamer Canadian Conqueror arrived at Auckland yesterday afternoon from Halifax, and berthed at the Prince’s Wharf, to unload about 500 tons for Auckland, the remainder of the cargo being for Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, Dunedin and Bluff.

lONIC FROM HOME.—An arrival in the stream at Auckland early this morning was the White Star liner lonic from London and Southampton. She was berthed at the Prince's Wharf to land her passengers and mails and to unload the local portion of her cargo before proceeding to Port Chalmers to complete. The vessel left London on January 3 and Southampton the following day. A heavy head sea was experienced the first week out from Home, but afterwards good weather was experienced. Captain W. Lloyd is now in command of the lonic and has the following officers with him: Chief, Mr. J. Evans: first, Mr. E. W. R. Avery: second, Mr. J. Quayle: third, Mr. F. L. Kean; fourth, Mr. N. E. Foulkes; fifth, Mr. C. H. Black: sixth. Mr. W. Gregory; seventh. Mr. A. R. Williams: eighth, Mr. R. M. Seubert; chief steward. Mr. D. M. Xewall: second, Mr. F. C. Hirst: wireless operators, Messrs. T. F. Holden and C ’The t lonic is expected to leave Auckland to-morrow week for Port Chalmers. PORT OF ONEHUNGA—departures yesterday HOKIANGA (6.5 p.m.), 270 tons, Kennedy, for Hokianga ARAPAWA (9.15 p.m.), 20l tons, Robertson, for Wanganui. ARRIVALS TO-DAY HAUTURU (5.55 a.m.), 270 tons, Jaekson-Fowler, from Raglan. The Anchor Company's steamer Kaitoa is due at Onehunga on. Friday to load for Nelson and Motueka. The Rarawa, sailing at 4 p.m. to-day for New Plymouth, returns to Onehunga at 7.30 a.m. on Saturday. The Arapawa left Onehunga last evening for Wanganui, and is due back next Monday. The Hauturu arrived at Onehunga this morning from Raglan and Kawhia, and sails this afternoon for Hokianga.
