FROM CHRISTCHURCH TO LYTTELTON OPENING THIS AFTERNOON Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, To-day. The Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. Sir Joseph Ward, the Minister of Railways, the lion. W. B. Taverner, and the Rt. lion. J. G. Coates arrived in Christchurch to-day for the opening of the electrified Christchurch-Lyttelton railway line this afternoon. Mrs. Taverner will sever the ribbon immediately before the departure of the first electric passenger train.
