Campion, of Sydney, who has been visiting Rotorua, is staying at the Star Hotel. He will leave Tor Australia by the Marama on Friday. Dr. Lye* 11 S. Davis has tendered his resignation as house surgeon at the Thames Hospital, to take effect at the , nil of February. Dr. Patterson, of Dunedin, will fill the vacancy. The lion. A. J. Stallworthy, Minister of Health, was accorded a civic reception on his arrival at Dargaville ..n Monday evening. He was afterwards entertained at a conversazione. The Right -lon. J. G. Coates. Leader of the Opposition, left for the South Gland last evening to attend the opening of the newly-electrified section of the railway line between Christchurch and Lyttelton to-morrow. Mr. O. Holler will leave for Wellington on Friday evening to attend an executive meeting of the United Party. Jt is said that the meeting is one at which important decisions will be made. He is expected to return on next.
