“EASY COME, EASY GO”
Richard Dix has a role well fmted to his cheerful personality in Come, Easy Go,” the comedy-lirama to be screened at tlie_ Roy al Theatre, Kingsland, this evening. The story revolves around the adventures of a too-honest bank clei who by accident becomes a partner to a bank robbery. He confesses to the bank manager as soon as he realises the true position, but in the meantime the real thief has escaped and the clerk is devoid of evidence. This is all tlm more unfortunate as he is anxious to make a good impression on the manager’s daughter. A second feature will be presented this evening in '‘Armageddon.” which describes by actual photographs and models the course of General Allenby’s campaign in Palestine during the latter part of the war. The film includes many scenes of the part played by New Zealand soldiers.
Prominent among the Paramount pictures listed for release in New Zealand during the new year is ‘‘Abie’s Irish Rose,” a screen version of the play by Anne Nichols. Charles Rogers, Nancy Carroll, Jean Hersholt and J. Farrell MacDonald play the leading roles. Victor Fleming directed the production.
