ENGLISH BOYS’ TOUR
ARRIVING TO-MORROW
REPRESENTING 20 SCHOOLS Because the lonic, due to-morrow morning, is nearly three days behind schedule, the visit of the 45 English public school boys to Auckland has been curtailed. A day has been found for Auckland only through the consideration of the New Plymouth people who gave up one of the days allotted them. A committee under the chairmanship of Canon H. K. Archdall, headmaster of King’s College, has made arrangements for the visitors. A luncheon will be tendered at the Farmers’ Trading Company at 1 p.m. to-morrow, and a motor excursion, with afternoon tea at Waiatarua, has been arranged for the afternoon. The evening will be free, and the visitors will leave Auckland en route to the Waitomo Caves, on Friday morning, by the Rotorua express. They will later travel through Taranaki on the way to Wellington an<d the South Island. The director in charge of the party is Air. J. R. Darling, a master at Charterhouse, who has associated with him Lieutenant Grenfell Smith-Dorrien and Mr. Michael Scott. Mr. Francis Portal arrived in advance of the party to complete arrangements.
