MINISTER’S ADVICE TO GROCERS

CONFERENCE AT NAPIER Press Association NAPIER, To-day. The Master Grocers’ Federation opened its sixth annual conference at Napier this morning. Delegates were present from all over the Dominion. The Hon. J. G. Cobbe, Minister of Industries and Commerce, in his opening address, appealed to all traders to support New Zealand goods, which in quality and packing equalled the overseas article. He indicated that the cash-order trading inquiry would open in Wellington about the end of the month, and asked for the conference’s opinions. Referring to Government interference in business, he said that he would "prefer that traders settled marketing problems for themselves.
