BALLOON IS DRIVEN ACROSS NORTH SEA
LEIPZIG FLYERS FIND THEMSELVES ABERDEENSHIRE

Three German balloonists ascended at Leipzig on Sunday for a short inland cruise, which developed into a flight across the North Sea, and ended in a crash at Aberdeenshire to-day. Shortly after the ascent a storm arose. It was impossible to descend. The balloon was driven to Holland and then to the North Sea. It drifted helplessly to the English coast for 12 hours. Early in the morning, the men the lights of Aberdeen.
The balloon occasionally bumped against hilltops. Finally a tree overturned the basket, pitching out the occupants, who fortunately were not injured. They found hospitality on a farm, and the German Consul is arranging their return.
