MEDITERRANEAN FLEET

STRENGTH INCREASED (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) MALTA, Sunday. The battleship Revenge has joined the Mediterranean battle fleet. After the Warspite and Malaya have rejoined when they have been refitted, the fleet will have completed its stupendous strength as outlined in the reconstruction scheme of the First Lord of the Admiralty, Mr. W. C. Bridgeman. The Minister announced in 1927 that the Mediterranean Fleet would be increased to 10 capital ships consisting of five each of the Queen Elizabeth and Royal Sovereign class.
