TAURANGA POST OFFICE

HIGHER STATUS SOUGHT DEPUTATION TO MINISTER (From Our Own Correspondent) TAIJRANGA, Monday. The Postmaster-General, the Hon. J. B. Donald* who is paying a flying vis.L to the East Coast, arrived here last evening, arid left this morning at 10 o’clock. During his brief stay a deputation from the Chambers of Commerce waited upon him and made several requests, including the raising of Tauranga to the status of a chief post office. The Minister promised his serious consideration to the request.
