BRIDGE PARTY FOR VISITORS

Mr. and Mrs. W. Fraser, of Wanganui, who have been the guests of Mrs. A. Carr, of Epsom, during the last few weeks, were the guests of honour last evening at a bridge party arranged by their hostess at her home. To receive her guests Mrs. Carr wore a smart gown of wistaria georgette panelled around the skirt with mechlin lace, and girdled with velvet of a deepest shade. Mrs. Fraser was wearing an attractive frock of black mariette embroidered with rhinestones on the corsage and draped skirt. Hydrangeas in soft blue x shades made effective decorations in :he lounge and drawing room, and in the supper room pink carnations appeared on the table. Among those present were: Mrs. B. Walker, who were a frock ol beige georgette and lace. Mrs. H. Ross, in a floral patterned frock of rose and green taffeta. Mrs. Donald Harper, in a black georgette frock relieved with olae. Mrs. Walters, wearing a beaded frock of gentian blue crepe de chine. Mrs. Stringer, who wore moonlight blue satin crepe. Mrs. Parsons, in a frock of biscuit shaded crepe de chine. Mrs. Maguire, wearing a frock of blonde lace and georgette. Mrs. P. Harper, whose frock of black georgette was relieved with ecru lace. Miss Walker, in a ceil blue frock of ; flowered chiffon. Miss Carr, wearing Japonica pink taffeta and silver lace. Miss H. Watson, in a black frock of georgette with sequin embroidery.
