(From Our Own Correspondent) WHANGAREI, Monday. The need for a night and day hospital ambulance service has long been stressed, and at to-day’s meeting of the board Dr. T. H. A. Valmtine, Direc-tor-General of Health, approved the proposed expenditure of £I,OOO on a new hospital ambulance. The service of the tewn ambulance of the St. John Ambulance Association has been steadily increasing owing to the accidents inevitable in a district with so many large industrial w-orks.
