SIR D. MACLEAN’S WILL Press Association NAPIER, Monday. Under the will of the late Sir Donald Mac Lean, whose estate has been sworn at under £750,000, the following bequests are made: £SOO to the Hawke’s Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Society; £I,OOO to Napier Hospital; £I,OOO to Waipukurau Hospital; £IOO to the Hawke’s Bay Children’s Home; £IOO to the Hawke’s Bay Highland Society; £I,OOO to a pension or superannuation fund for the clergy of the Waiapu Diocese; £I,OOO to the fund established for pensions for ministers of the Presbyterian Church in Hawke’s Bay; £3,500 to Te Makarini scholarships and prize fund. The will contains many provisions for the payment of annuities to old friends and employees, and also bequests of substantial sums to over 20 employees, and of a year’s wages in addition to every employee who has been in the service of the deceased for five years and upward. There is further provsiion for all children of employees residing upon Maraekakaho Station, if born upon that station. Provision is made for members of deceased's family, and the residue goes to deceased’s children. It is known that during the war Sir Donald donated to various war funds about £ 5,000.
