COME time ago it was thought . the pacer Goldman was a spent light, but after being acquired by H. Hedley, the Gold Bell gelding appeared to take a fresh lease of life and showed a wonderful return to form in the spring by winning a mile saddle heat in 2.12. Since Christmas Goldman has not been set any hard tasks, and he has thrived on the treatment and is looking in rare trim again. On Saturday he strode over two miles at a solid, even pace, and threatens to pick up another stake in the near future.
