A SHOCKING RUN

JF ever a horse got it in the neck, it was Mosque in the Rotorua Cup on Saturday. Last to leave the barrier, he was off the course at the home turn the first time, but had run up second passing the judge. He tried to get up on the inside of Siaosi, when the later hung- on at the five furlongs, but Siaosi came in again and knocked him back. Still, little Mosque, probably uplifted by the Voice of the Muezzin, kept pegging away, but the damage had been done, and he finally finished last. Mosque looked well, and might have gone a good race but for getting into all the trouble possible.
