MINISTERS’ MOVEMENTS

VISITS TO AUCKLAND

The Hon. W. B. Taverner, Minister of Railways, paid an informal visit to Auckland during the week-end.

He was accompanied by Mr. H. H. Sterling, general manager of railways, and Mr. F. C. Widdop, chief engineer of the department. The party arrived by motor-car from Hamilton about noon on Saturday and left for Wellington by the Limited express last evening. The Minister will probably revisit Auckland within a few weeks and will be in the Rotorua district about February 24.

. The Hon. H. Atmore, Minister of Education, is visiting several city and suburban primary schools to-day and to-morrow.

On Wednesday morning he will meet the University College Council and in the afternoon will visit more schools. On Thursday the Minister will visit secondary schools and will leave for the South in the evening.
