TWO PICTURES AT BRITANNLA
The screen version of “Sapper* story, “Poppies of Flanders,” will k shown at the Britannia Theatre tha evening:. The cast is headed by Jameson Thomas and includes E\ T e dray. The story opens in Africa, wht: “Brown,” an ex-officer who has bee: dismissed from the Imperial Army : drunkenness, meets and falls in io with Beryl Kingswood, who succeed in reforming him. Later Beryi metBob Standish, another young offic-. and is unable to choose between ttwo men. On the outbreak of war it two soldiers return to England ac rejoin their regiments, and “Crow effects a reconciliation with his- parents. While dining at a restaurant, he sees Beryl and B together, and realises that the girl a made her choice. On the liattlefiei: he saves Bob’s life at the cost of own, confident in the knowledge t Beryl will realise and be grateful fc: the sacrifice he has made. “Oh, Kay!” a delightfully arau?:comedy, starring Colleen '■ also be shown.
