SWIMMING CARNIVAL
GRAMMAR CLUB’S SECOND MEETING BRIDSON RACING LINDSAY Grammar Swimming Club is holding: its second carnival of the season at the Tepid Baths on "Wednesday evening: next. Auckland’s representative swimmers will make their reappearance in the main events of a big: programme after their successes at the national championships in Wellington. The feature race of the evening will be the 220yds handicap, in which Gordon Bridson, of Grammar, and D. P. Lindsay, of Waitemata, two of New Zealand’s best distance swimmers, will race. In the championships, Lindsay beat Bridson by a small margin only, and the younger swimmer is improving all the time. Ponsonby Swimming Club’s team of divers will give an exhibition. WAIKATO SWIMMING MORRINSVILLE GIRLS’ TEAM (From Our Own Correspondent) MORRINSVILLE, Friday. The following team has been chosen to represent Morrinsville at the Hamilton women’s swimming carnival on Tuesday:—7syds championship, Misses D. Dyke, N. Coombe and M. Ensor; relay race. Misses D. Insley and Jenkinson: announcer and steward, Mr. Priestley; ladies’ steward, Miss Farrow; cashier. ' G. Denize; gatekeeper, C. Farrow; ground stewards, Messrs. E. S. Masters and K.
