SCHOOL CRICKET XI’S RECORD

A tin© run of success stands to the credit of the Paeroa primary school cricket team. Up to the Christmas holidays it had won all of its 11 matches, breaking five records. One of these was the highest score yet registered for the school, 142 for the loss of one wicket. Arnold (56 not out) and Curtis (70 not out) established a record partnership, the latter’s score being the highest individual total scored by a pupil of the school. Arnold took 49 wickets for 91 dui'ing the series of matches, which is another record. The fielding of the team is smart and clean, and their behaviour on and off the field is a credit to them and the school.
