THERE is not a more improved square-gaiter in commission at. present in Auckland than the gay old deceiver The Tartar, and the dash he is at present infusing irto his Epsom displays is cheering to his party. The son of Wild- > wood Junior—Emmerline has built up a lot in condition, and is staying on at the end of two miles in approved style. Trainer G. Robertson deserves to notch a win with thie trotter, and if he reproduces his track essays of yesterday on the day success would attend his efforts.
