This had the effect of partially breaking the drought, which had been affecting the greater part of New fcouth Wales. Good rains were experienced in the north-western districts as far as the Coast, also on the south coast. The Indications point to rain in the parched areas in the buck blocks. The Government meteorologist expects that the rain in the eastern parts of New «outh Wales and Victoria will spread inland, and cause a general breaking of the drought within a S-eek. \ nun, ber ot' western centres alreport heavy storms. Terrific bt Wellington and Dunedoo, lining hundreds of sheep. The welV°me break in the weather has caused universal relief.
