“HIS PRIVATE LIFE” TO-MORROW
I Richard Bix’s latest picture, “Moran of the Marines,” a comedy-drama of j life with the Marines in America and I in China, will be screened at the NaI tional Theatre for the last time this ' evening. When Adolphe Menjou and Kathryn Carver returned from Paris, where they were married, and Menjou as the bread-winner of the Menjou family went back to work, he differed from thousands of husbands in that there was no fond parting at the front door, for his wife went right along with him. Miss Carver is cast opposite her famous husband in the latter's first starring picture for Paramount since the marriage, in “His Private Rife,” which opens at the National on Friday. Not only did Miss Carver accompany her husband to work, but an hour after their arrival at the Paramount studios, Menjou was busily engaged in trying his best to make the acquaintance of his wife To make matters worse she was as eagerly doing her best to discourage him. The next day the plot thickened, for not. only did Miss Carver repulse his ardent advances but she walked into a room where she found her husband in the arms of another. So that the reader will not become confused further, suffice it to say that it's all in the plot of “His Private Rife,” in which Menjou is again seen as the carefree Parisian boulevardier, the type of role which brought him success. New supporting pictures and new music by Mr. F. Bartlett’s Orchestra will also be presented.
Universal announces a portion of the cast for Reginald Denny’s next starring vehicle. “His Lucky Day/* which will be directed by Eddie Cline. Thev include Otis Marian, Cissie Fitzgerald, Tom O’Brien, Eddie Phillips and Harvey Clark.
